Home Visiting the Museum For Educators Research and Explore
The Lower East Side Tenement Museum is available for film and photography.

The Museum's recreated period interiors, its unrestored apartments and its Visitors Center provide evocative settings for documentaries, feature films and still photography with subjects ranging from A&E's biography of Telly Savalas to the heavy metal band, Metallica (pictured below); from a German documentary on 19th century German immigration to the pawn shop scenes from Men in Black 1 & 2 with Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.

All film or photography shoots must be arranged around the Museum's busy private group and public tour schedule, which usually entails evening or early morning shoots.
