Upon visiting the Lower East Side for the first time, proprietor Kheder noticed the scarcity of craft stores in the area and thought it was perfect for her shop since it was known as “the heart of the garment industry.” Kheder, a native of the mid-west, planted her New York roots and opened BOCAGE right in our own backyard on the Lower East Side.
