In America, I was nervous to speak English at first because of the accent I thought I had. But when I went to school it was necessary for me to speak in class and to participate. So I got over that fear. I think that I was teased a few times but I remember what I learned from my parents; it's not about the way you speak but the way you use your words to empower yourself.
