After living in a notorious tenement at 65 Mott Street in the impoverished Five Points, the Moores moved almost every year as their fortunes fluctuated with Joseph's changing work opportunities. Earning money sometimes as a waiter and sometimes as a bartender, Joseph Moore's transient work life resembled that of his countrymen. In 1868, Bridget Moore gave birth to her third child, Agnes, at 150 Forsyth Street, as indicate on her birth certificate (pictured above). >> Next
