Tenement Talks

Habitats: Private Lives in the Big City

Thursday, October 24 1:30 AM

What goes on inside the homes of New Yorkers? In her new book, New York Times reporter and former editor Constance Rosenblum tells intimate and surprising stories about where, how, and with whom New Yorkers live. She notes that the doorways to the City’s homes “…offer tantalizing portals opening onto largely invisible lives.” For this event, Rosenblum will interview five New Yorkers, ranging in age from twenty-something to ninety-something, about how they live.

This event is free, but you can reserve two seats by purchasing a copy of Habitats: Private Lives in the Big City. Contact Laura Lee at or 212.431.0233 ext. 259 to purchase the book.

Events take place at 103 Orchard Street at Delancey Street, unless otherwise noted. Seating is available on a first-come, first serve basis.
