I am a resident of Kansas but have had opportunity to visit New York City on regular basis. During those trips, I have visited the Museum on several occasions and am supportive of their mission. Not only do I recommend to others a visit to this important site, but also I feel strongly enough to make financial contributions as well. The Lower East Side Tenement Museum is a small, specialty museum which in a quiet but powerful way teaches the strengths and struggles of immigrants and promotes understanding and tolerance of all people.
