Tickets for Public Tours

Advance Tickets
If you know which tour you want to take, advance tickets are available via Ovationtix:

If you are not familiar with the Museum, please read the descriptions of our tours. Click the "Buy Now" button next to each description to purchase advance tickets for that tour.

Hours for Advance Tickets: 
  • Online: Advance tickets can be purchased online until midnight the day before the tour.
  • Phone: Advance tickets can be purchased by phone Monday-Friday from 9am-9pm; Saturday and Sunday from 10m-6pm.
Advance tickets are subject to availability.

Same-Day Tickets
Same-day tickets for public tours are available for purchase at the Museum Visitors Center at 108 Orchard Street (at Delancey Street) after 11:00 am weekdays and 10:45 am on weekends. Tours are limited to 15 people and do sell out quickly.

Combination Discounts
The Museum offers discounted admissions for visitors who take more than one public tour.

Same-Day Tickets for Multiple Tours
Same-day tickets for multiple public tours can be purchased at the Visitors Center. These tickets can only be purchased on the day of your tour.

Advance Tickets for Multiple Tours
Advance tickets for multiple tours are only available if you plan to take two tours. Advance tickets are not available if you plan to take three or four tours. Tickets for three or four tours are only available at Museum's Visitors Center on the day of your tours. If you have further questions about combination tickets, please call 212-982-8420.

Prices for Multiple Tours:
  • 2 Tours: $25 adults/$18 students & seniors.
    Purchase tickets for weekend tours.
    Purchase tickets for weekday tours.
    Please note that there is a limited quantity of these tickets.
  • 3 Tours: $34 adults/$24 students & seniors.
  • All 4 Programs: Buy a Membership and get free admission to public tours and other great benefits.

Tickets for Members
Admission to all
public tours is free for members. To make reservations:
  • Call 212-431-0233 ext. 636.
  • Leave your name, phone number and the date and time that you wish to take the tour. A membership coordinator will return the call to confirm your reservation.
  • Please make your reservations at least two days prior to your tour. Otherwise we will not be able to hold space on the tour for you.

Tickets for American Sign Language Tours
There are several options for visitors to take tours with American Sign Language Interpretation at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum:

Option One: Reserve tickets for a public ASL interpreted tour.
The Tenement Museum offers ASL interpreted tours one weekend day per month. Upcoming ASL interpreted tours are:
We strongly recommend that visitors make advance reservations for ASL interpreted tours. Reservations for ASL tours must be made by 9:30 am on the day of your tour. To make reservations for Sign Language interpreted tours only, contact Danielle Linzer at:

Option Two: Request an ASL interpreter for any tour
The Tenement Museum can offer ASL interpretation for any public tours. Please request an interpreter prior to your tour.

Please specify that you want an ASL tour and include the following information with your reservation:
  • Your contact number so that we may confirm your reservation
  • The number of adult or student/senior tickets you'd like
  • The date and time when you’d like to come on a tour
  • Credit card information: number, type, name as it appears on the card & expiration date. The card will only be charged if the reserved tickets are not picked up - it will not be charged in advance.
  • If you would prefer not to use a credit card, the Museum can hold your tickets at 108 Orchard Street until 12:30 PM on the day of the program. If you do not pick up the tickets by 12:30, they may be sold to other visitors.

Option Three: Request ASL interpretation for a private group

FAQs: Public Tours
Do I have to take a tour of the Museum?
Yes. The tenement at 97 Orchard is only available by guided tour.

How big are the tours?
Public tours are limited to 15 people. If you are bringing a party of 10 or more, please make a reservation request for a Group Tour.

Do I need tickets for Public Tours?
Yes. We recommend purchasing advance tickets to guarantee space on your preferred tour. Same day tickets are available only at the Visitors Center at 108 Orchard St., subject to availability.

Can I exchange my ticket or get a refund?
All ticket sales are final unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled, or the facility is closed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Where do tours begin?
All tours begin at the Visitors Center at 108 Orchard Street (below Delancey).

What are the Visitors Center’s hours?
Mon: 11am - 530pm
Tue-Fri: 11am - 6pm
Sat & Sun: 1045am - 6pm
The Visitors Center hours are different from tour times.
