Storytellers Society: We the People

Join us and the Storytellers Society for a special evening of community-focused tours of Tenement Museum family stories! From Joseph and Rachel Moore celebrating the passage of the 15th Amendment, to the first woman registered to vote in 97 Orchard Street and Puerto Rican parents involved in the Civil Rights movement, we’ll explore how immigrant and migrant communities engaged in political expression. After tours, we’ll gather for a reception and discussion about how these stories of the past are reflected today.
