Visitor Guidelines

At the Tenement Museum, we strive to connect visitors to the history of generations of immigrants and migrants who have made the United States their home. We do this through historical context, adding complexity to personal narratives, fostering empathetic dialogue, and thoughtful storytelling.

We are committed to providing a safe experience for our team and visitors. Our professionally trained frontline staff are here to help you and facilitate dialogue. The Museum may refuse or revoke admission to individuals who endanger staff, visitors, or any Museum property, or who engage in verbal or physical harassment, discriminatory or threatening behavior, or otherwise interfere with the experience of others.

Please contact Visitor Services at [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns relating to your visit.
