President’s Circle

The President’s Circle is the Tenement Museum’s premier philanthropic group. Driven by intellectual curiosity and collective generosity, these patrons provide leadership support for the Museum’s work to inspire connections between the past and present and build a more inclusive and expansive American society.

Through a shared belief in the impact of our tenement family stories, this vibrant community enjoys direct access to leadership, exclusive programs and events, private tours for family and friends, executive briefings on current projects, unique opportunities for adult learning, quarterly behind-the-scenes updates from Museum President Dr. Annie Polland, and much more. With a gift of $1,500 or more, you join the President’s Circle, the Museum’s most passionate and committed community.

The generosity of the President’s Circle ensures the broadening of the Museum’s reach, enabling us to:

  • Welcome tens of thousands of K-12 students through virtual field trips and subsidized tickets for Title I and public school students in NYC
  • Serve thousands of teachers across the country through innovative professional development opportunities and online curricula resources
  • Invite leading scholars and experts to enrich teaching and learning about our diverse tenement families through new research and Educator training
  • Preserve our landmarked tenement buildings for generations to come

At a time when our world can seem both fragile and fraught, the Museum’s tenement family stories provide vital historical perspective and inspire us to build knowledge, connection, and empathy. Support this work by joining the President’s Circle today.
