Please consider making a gift that will allow us to survive these unprecedented times, remain strong, and reopen when circumstances allow.
The health and safety of our visitors, staff, and community are of utmost importance. The Tenement Museum will temporarily close to the public effective Saturday, March 14th to support New York City’s effort to contain the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). At this time, we are refunding all tickets, group tours, and private events through April 30th. The Museum will undertake a thorough cleaning and will post further updates here.

What You Can Do
Wash your hands. Do so often. Use soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
If opportunity for hand washing is not available, use hand sanitizers.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Cover your coughs and sneezes. Hold a tissue over your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze. Throw that tissue away and, again, wash your hands.
Stay informed and to follow the guidance provided by public health officials.
If you are sick or feeling unwell, stay home and avoid close contact with others, as recommended by the CDC and NYC Department of Health.
