On this tour, you’ll visit the tenement apartment of Natalie Gumpertz and her daughters, and the saloon run downstairs by John and Caroline Schneider. What challenges did they have to overcome as tenement residents, small business owners, and German immigrants? How did they form community across religious, political and social differences?
