Join us on YouTube Live for a virtual hard hat tour! Have you ever visited a historic building and wondered how the walls were plastered, where a piece of furniture came from, or which objects are original? On this tour, visitors will get a behind the scenes look the process and philosophy behind the Tenement Museum’s recreated historic spaces. Learn what it takes to recreate apartments from the 1860s and 1930s with before and after pictures, highlights of often overlooked architectural details, and expert interviews with some of the folks who did the actual work.
