Virtual Tenement Kitchens: Holiday Edition

Join us for a special holiday version of our Tenement Kitchens program, as we look at how winter holidays brought tenement residents together to cook, eat, and celebrate. This virtual visit to 97 Orchard Street will look at the stories of the Schneider and Rogarshevsky families, you’ll see how food was prepared in tenement kitchens, and how kitchens changed for the holidays, where people shopped in the Lower East Side, and what they might have cooked around the winter holiday season.
