Access Touch Tour: December 11

Visitors will participate in an orientation session using tactile models of our historic tenement as well as architectural features before going on a tour that will include touch objects, braille materials, and verbal description. The tour will be an hour and a half long, followed by a reception featuring local Lower East Side foods.

Victoria Confino
1st Floor | Wheelchair Accessible | Recommended Ages 5 and up.

Discover life as an immigrant in 1916 through the eyes of 14-year-old Victoria Confino. A costumed actor portraying Victoria provides a first-person perspective inside her apartment. Hear Victoria share experiences about immigrating to America from Greece, living at 97 Orchard Street with her parents and five brothers, and adjusting to life on the Lower East Side. A family-friendly tour, visitors can engage with Victoria, explore her home, and ask questions about her daily life and the journey of becoming American.
