Join us to explore a century of immigration and migration to the Lower East Side through the stories of three women and the food they cooked! Together, we’ll examine the laborious and often overlooked work of purchasing and preparing food in tenement kitchens and the many factors that impacted each woman’s decisions on what food to make.

On this special Giving Tuesday virtual program, learn how women like Bridget Moore, Fannie Rogarshevsky, and Ramonita Saez-Velez managed the household budget, fed their families, preserved, challenged, and adapted food traditions, helping shape American food culture as we know it today.
