Join a lively conversation about two of our favorite books. Facilitated by two Tenement educators, Kirk German and Grace McGookey, we’ll discuss a pair of semi-autobiographical novels about growing up in Brooklyn: Betty Smith’s 1943 classic A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and Jacqueline Woodson’s 2014 award-winner Brown Girl Dreaming.
