We thank everyone who joined us — both virtually and in person — for this year’s Rebuilding Our Foundations Gala!

This year’s Gala celebrated the rebuilding of our foundations, both physically and spiritually. Over 350 in-person guests and hundreds of households joining online learned about Anita Jacobson’s chance discovery of 97 Orchard Street in 1988, heard plans for our new Joseph and Rachel Moore exhibit that will tell the story of a Black family living in the tenements in the 1860s, and got a special peek behind-the-scenes of our 97 Orchard Street preservation project!

We thank you again for your incredible generosity and support that has helped our Gala raise over $938,000 to support the Museum’s ongoing pandemic recovery and help us rebuild our foundations. This includes $98,254 toward our Tuesday night goal to raise $97,000 in honor of 97 Orchard Street!

Thank you to all of you who contributed!
